MobiTek
is the first native company in Taiwan devoted to handset software
design. It's founded in 2000 by ASUS subsidiary and MediaTek's
Chairman.
As the wireless data service booming up with 2.5G and 3G, handheld
devices are diversified and the applications are rising and
flourishing with color LCD, embedded camera, video, photo album,
on-line games, and so on.
The cornerstone software technology for these new applications
are MMI framework for real-time embedded system, MMS, multimedia
processing kernel, WAP, Java, and so on. MobiTek focuses on
all these software technology and aims to provide handset manufacturer
the best service to shorten time to market of their product.
